Respite Care Ministies is a group of programs designed specifically for people with memory loss and their caregivers. During the program, individuals with Alzheimer's or a related memory impairment can participate in activities such as music, gardening, exercise, service projects, arts and crafts and other failure-free, stimulating activities that promote socialization, security, fun and laughter. The program also offers caregivers the comfort of knowing their famiy members are in a safe and supportive place. Caregivers can depend on this time to meet a friend, go shopping, schedule an appointment, rest and take care of themselves.

Volunteers are warmly welcomed and trained to assist with this ministry. Needed are persons to help during the program day, as well as those willing to drive the van, or provide music or other forms of entertainment on an occasional basis.

All programs are open from 10 AM until 1:45 PM. Locations and days are as follows:

Lutheran Church of the Redeemer (West Ashley) Tuesday
