ARCHIVES
The Archive and History Committee is responsible for enlisting volunteers to help catelog and maintain St. Matthew's large collection of archival materials. Volunteers meet and work in the Archives every Thursday. If you would like to help with this ministry, please contact Nancy Kruger at .
WELCA
Mission Statement: To mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ.
Purpose Statement: As a community of women created in the image of God, called to discipleship in Jesus Christ, and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves to grow in fatih, affirm our gifts, support one another in our callings, engage inministry and action, and promote healing and wholeness in the church, the socity and the world.
LMM (Lutheran Men in Mission): The Primary Misison of Lutheran Men in Mission is to be a component of and a sponsor of the South Carolina Men in Mission and to strengthen the spiritual development and witness of men and to provide financial and othe support to mission congregations in the South Carolina Synod, ELCA. In addition, LMM serves St. Matthew's by:
Monthly meetings (the 3rd Tuesday of each month, 7:30 - 8:30 Breakfast and Program); Sponsoring scholarships to Lutheridge for our youth; Contributing to the SC Funds (Gift, Loan and New Mission Start); Performing culinary contributions to the WELCA banquet; Feeding the Men's Work Crew; Offering a means of fellowship for the men of our church. MEN'S WORK CREW is made up of a group of men who meet every Tuesday throughout the year to help make repairs and perform jobs around the church. The Crew helps make things run more smoothly and saves the church money that would be paid for the services of an outside repairperson.
